About the Job

We're looking for a highly organised Chief of Staff (m/f/d) to join one of our portfolio companies. In this role you’ll operate as a strategic right hand to the management, helping steer the company through complex growth, high-impact partnerships, and mission-critical initiatives in the defence technology space. You will coordinate across teams, facilitate strategic planning, and ensure that execution matches ambition. 

Join our portfolio company: A German dual-use technology company that develops unmanned ground vehicles to spearhead automation in both governmental and civilian use cases.

In this role, you’ll:

  • Act as the management's strategic partner supporting decision-making, internal alignment, and external visibility
  • Drive operational excellence across the company by identifying gaps, removing blockers, and enabling rapid execution
  • Lead and manage cross-functional strategic initiatives (e.g., go-to-market launches, fundraising, government outreach)
  • Serve as an internal sounding board ensuring the leadership team are focused on the right priorities at the right time
  • Protect leadership bandwidth by filtering information and surfacing what matters most

Your Profile

  • 2-5 years of experience ideally in consultancies, scale-ups, or innovation teams of corporates
  • Excellent project management skills, building slides and spreadsheets for daily business use cases with an analytical, structured, and process-oriented approach
  • Professional and clear communication in both written and verbal form
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguous situations and be able to lead something with little input/context 
  • A natural ability to build and maintain relationships and anticipate needs and challenges as well as think ahead
  • Resilient, persistent, and proactive attitude as well as trustworthy with confidential information
  • Business-level proficiency in both German and English is a must

Please note that we are looking for support in the Munich office of our portfolio company. Eligibility to work within the EU is required as well.
